About Us

Our vision is to be a place for people in Motherwell to call home and to help the community come alive to God's love for them and love Him back with all they've got.

Our Story

Re:Hope Church started in Glasgow's West End in 2005.  Then in 2016, Re:Hope became a multi-location church.

In both 2019 and 2022, three new Re:Hope locations opened in Southside, Royston and Paisley.

Now in 2024, after 18 months based at Re:Hope Southside, Chalcedony accepted the call to plant a location of Re:Hope Church in Motherwell.

Momentum

7/02/2025

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Isaiah 43:19

January has been a busy month at Re:Hope Church. Often the first month of the year can be a time of hibernating to get through the cold and dark as quickly as possible. But it seems that, since fasting week, we have hit the ground running. In Motherwell, we spent an icy Saturday worshipping on the high street and handing out hot chocolate. We were struck by how many young people were keen to stop by and find out more about what we are doing. Since then, we have been praying for the opportunity to reach the next generation in Motherwell.

We launched the Alpha course alongside the other locations on Tues 14th January and that has been running on a weekly basis at the GLO, a missions organisation with coffee shop and book shop, right in the middle of Motherwell. The team there has been extremely hospitable to us after a very quick change of venue. Thank God for a big answer to prayer!

As we step into February, the word that springs to mind is 'momentum'. We are building up to the Alpha weekend and praying for more people to join us along the way. We are searching and praying for a building and relying on God to build the team of people that will help carry the vision forward to our launch in Easter and beyond. Worship and prayer is going to fuel all of this and so we are launching some regular worship nights, starting on 27th Feb at a local community centre.

If you are intrigued to know more about the vision for Motherwell and get up to date with what is happening, we will be hosting interest events after service in Southside on 23rd Feb and the West End on 16th March. There will be a light lunch and good chat. It would be lovely to meet you and let you know how you can be involved practically and through prayer. See you then!

Please pray for:

  • Alpha to thrive and grow

  • A building for Sunday services

  • Opportunity to reach the next generation in Motherwell
